Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and LipBytes. They are written in plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
1. Who we are
LipBytes is a service that gives you AI companions to talk to — on the web and through Telegram bots. Throughout this page, we and us mean the people who operate LipBytes.
LipBytes is not yet a registered company. Once the operating entity is incorporated, its legal name, address and the law governing this agreement will be named in this section. Until then, this page is a good-faith statement of how the service works and how we intend to behave.
2. You must be 18 or over
LipBytes is for adults. It contains conversations and images meant for people aged 18 or over. By using the service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, and at least the age of majority where you live.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete the data behind it.
3. Your account
You sign in through Telegram or through the web app. Whatever route you take, that login is yours: keep it secure, and do not let anyone else use it. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to reuse free trials, promotions or referral rewards is a breach of these terms.
Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. What the companions are
Every companion on LipBytes is software. She is generated by AI models, she is not a person, and no human is typing on the other side. The personality, the memories she refers to and the life she describes are fiction produced by a machine.
That means her replies can be wrong, inconsistent, or plainly made up. Do not rely on anything a companion says as medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
LipBytes is entertainment, not a crisis or support service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country — a companion cannot help you with that.
5. What you may not do
Using LipBytes for any of the following ends the agreement immediately:
- Any sexual content involving minors, or any attempt to make a companion depict, roleplay or describe a minor in a sexual way. There is no grey area here and no warning — the account is terminated and, where the law requires it, reported.
- Content involving non-consent presented as real, bestiality, or anything else illegal where you or we are.
- Impersonating a real, identifiable person, or trying to make a companion depict one sexually.
- Harassing, threatening or attempting to harm other users.
- Reselling, redistributing or publicly republishing the images, voice notes or text the service generates for you as if they were your own product.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, overloading or otherwise attacking the service, or trying to extract the underlying prompts and models.
- Using the service to build a competing product, or to generate training data for one.
We also apply the rules of the platforms we sit on — in particular Telegram's terms — and we will act on a report from them.
6. Your content and ours
What you write and upload stays yours. You give us the permission we need to run the service with it: to store it, send it to the AI providers listed in our privacy policy so a reply can be generated, and to keep it available to you across your conversations.
What the service generates for you — her messages, her voice notes, the images you unlock — is yours to keep and use for yourself. It is not yours to resell or republish as a product, and it may resemble what another user received, because it comes from the same models.
The software, the brand, the companion designs and the underlying prompts and models remain ours.
7. Payments, subscriptions and Gems
Some of LipBytes is free. Subscriptions and Gems are paid, and prices are shown before you pay.
A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Gems are a prepaid balance spent inside the product; they are not money, they have no cash value, and they cannot be transferred between accounts.
We can change prices, plans and what a plan includes. A change to the price of a subscription applies from the next renewal, never retroactively, and we tell you before it takes effect.
Refunds have their own page, and it is deliberately generous — see the refund policy.
8. The service will change
LipBytes is under active development. Features appear, change and sometimes disappear. We do not promise any particular uptime, and parts of the service depend on companies we do not control — Telegram, our AI providers, our payment providers — so an outage on their side is an outage on ours.
We may run experiments: different pricing, different features, different behaviour for different accounts. If an experiment affects what you paid for, the plan you bought is what you keep.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using LipBytes at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data whenever you want.
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond — except for the prohibited content above, which is immediate.
If we close your account for a breach, unused Gems and the remainder of a paid period are forfeited. If we close it for any other reason, you get the unused part of what you paid back.
10. Limits
LipBytes is provided as it is. We do our best, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that a companion will behave a particular way, or that the content generated will suit any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live. Where those rights conflict with this page, they win.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when we last did. If a change materially affects you, we will do more than change the date — we will tell you in the app or on Telegram before it applies.
Continuing to use LipBytes after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using the service and ask us for a refund under the refund policy.
12. Talking to us
Questions about these terms, or about anything else, go to a person. Use the contact page on this site, or message @LBsup on Telegram.
We may update this page. When we do, the date above changes and the new version applies from the moment it is posted. English is the authoritative version — the other languages are provided for convenience. This page describes how LipBytes works in plain language; it is not legal advice about your own situation.
